About Me

My Experience in the Beauty Industry

Davis Technical College

I received my Cosmetology License from Davis Technical College in Utah. During my time in school, I was fortunate enough to provide salon and spa services to patients in the Davis Hospital, give free haircuts to little kids at elementary schools and compete in salon fashion show competitions.

I also attended guest trainings from industry experts such as Wayne Tuggle (Hatori Hanzo), Xavier Jobany & Jessee Skitrall (Kin), Nachelle Turner & Natalie Soto (Jane Iredale), Kim Jaynes (Borbaleta), and more.

Stylists Shadowed

Early on in my career I was lucky enough to shadow well-experienced stylists who helped me build a strong foundation from the start.

Those I give thanks to are Penny Romero (Thomas Hardy), Marci Whitesides (Elvera's), and Heidi Barker (Essensual Hair Design).

JC Penney, Blush Beauty, Alana Kai

The first salon I started at was JC Penney and I learned a lot on how the industry worked. That experience opened new doors for me, one of which being Blush Beauty & Co.

When I started at Blush Beauty & Co. I began assisting one of the most well-known artists in Utah, Sam Hurst (Owner of Blush Beauty). Most of my talents as a hair stylist I can attribute to her. She taught me so many new things that I now carry with me everywhere I go.

Shortly after assisting, I had my own booth and was taking on new clients that have become some of my closest friends.

And now, here I am! I'm currently working at Alana Kai Salon with incredible stylists and wonderful clients!

Family is Everything

My family is originally from Virginia, but cosmetology school took me out to Utah where I met my now husband.

Fast forward years later, my husband was offered a job in Virginia that brought me back and closer to family.

When I'm not doing hair I love spending time with my family and exploring new places I've never been before. Virginia is my home and I'm enjoying every bit of getting to know new clients and making life-long friends with them.
